　　Youth is the most active and vibrant force in society. As one of the series activities of Dongguan Sister City Link 2022, "Voice of Youth" Online Forum was unveiled recently. Seven youngsters from Dongguan and its sister and friendship cities served as messengers of culture and friendship between sister cities and friendship cities by voicing their thoughts and ideas on topics such as "My City, My Story" and "Healing the world", promoting their home cities and sharingviews and insights that concern the international community.

 

　　近日，一场以“后疫情时代如何治愈国际社会”为演讲主题的“云对话”，在东莞国际友城交流月活动中展开，7位来自东莞及国际友城的青年代表各抒己见，畅谈自己对当前国际疫情形势的思考，展现出强烈的家国情怀和使命担当。

 

　　Organized by Dongguan Foreign Affairs Bureau, with the theme of "Inspiring greater vitality in cooperation and building a shared future of win-win partnerships", Dongguan Sister City Link 2022 (SCL) has received keen attention from citizens, esp. the younger generation, at home and abroad since launched in July, attracting more than 21,000 people to visit the event website so far.

 

　　东莞国际友城交流月活动自今年7月启动以来，受到了境内外青少年及市民群众的热切关注，目前网页访问量已经超过21000人次。本次活动由东莞市外事局主办，以“激发友城合作新活力 共创开放共赢新格局”为主题，旨在有效促进东莞与友城间的人文交流，增进民间友好。

 

　　Independent thinking and interactive exchanging push youths forward

 

　　独立思考明辨是非，努力让世界变得更好

 

　　In the post-pandemic era, everyone's life has been changed. In this protracted battle against the epidemic and the processof economic and social development, "no one is an outsider", and the younger generation also take the responsibility of promoting sustainable development of the society.

 

　　后疫情时代，每一个人的生活都因此而改变。在这场旷日持久的疫情攻坚战与经济社会全面发展博弈中，“谁都不是局外人”，青少年同样担当着推动社会健康可持续发展的使命与担当。

 

　　"As students, our ability is limited. Maybe we don't have enough capability to rebuild the economy, but we can make some efforts to rebuild the life order. First, the most important thing is to be a health protector. Second, it is to be a rumor terminator. In the face of all kinds of network information, we should think independently", Liang Wangshuwan, a young lady from Dongguan said that. "As teenagers, we have received a decent education. We have creativity, the sense of justice and national confidence. We are going to take responsibility and build our country into a great modern socialist country."

 

　　“作为学生，我们的能力是有限的，也许我们没有足够的能力来重建经济，但我们可以努力重建生活秩序。首先，最重要的是要做一个自我健康管理者。第二，做一个谣言终结者。面对各种各样的网络信息，我们应该独立思考。”来自东莞的年轻女孩梁望淑婉说，“作为青少年，我们接受了最好的教育，我们有创造力，有正义感，有民族自信，因此更要担起责任，把我们的国家建设成为伟大的社会主义现代化国家”。

 

　　Ingrid Carolina Soto Escobar Ribeiro, a young lady from Campinas, Brazil mentioned that Covid-19 made people worry about society, health, economy and environmental impacts, etc. People should develop social trust and think about how to cooperate to make the world better. "Education and exchanges are extremely necessary and they help people to achieve goals and make changes." Ingrid added.

 

　　来自巴西坎皮纳斯的女孩Ingrid Carolina Soto Escobar Ribeiro提到，新冠疫情加剧了人们在社会、健康、经济和环境等方面的焦虑情绪。在她看来，人们应该建立并加深社会信任，思考如何合作共赢，让世界变得更好。“交流学习非常重要，它可以帮助人们辨明目标方向，做出改变。”Ingrid补充道。

 

　　Hometown is always the most beautiful place

 

　　地不同乐相同，青少年心中最美是家乡

 

　　Listening to the speeches of the youth representatives, people can not only learn their thoughts on the times, but also appreciate the customs of different cities around the world.

 

　　聆听青少年代表的演讲，不仅能看到他们对时代的思考，还可以领略世界各地不同城市的风土人情，感受青少年心中的美丽家乡。

 

　　Anson Ye was born and raised in Dongguan. For him, Dongguan is an inclusive and energetic city. "I have lived in Guancheng District since I was in the elementary school. Guancheng District is one of the oldest districts in Dongguan. All of my childhood memories of this city were contained in this place. When pacing on the old and narrow alleys, I appreciated the sound of traditional Cantonese opera from the radio." He said that the peace and warmth of Dongguan nurture his soul, and he enjoyed a very wonderful childhood because of living in such a slow-pace city with profound cultural background.

 

　　叶文骏是土生土长的东莞男孩。对他来说，东莞是一个包容、充满活力的城市。“我上小学的时候就住在莞城区。莞城是东莞最古老的区域之一。我所有童年记忆都与这座城市有关。小时候，我在老巷子玩，耳边总是能听到悠扬的粤剧。”他说，东莞的宁静和温暖滋养着他的灵魂。在这个节奏缓慢但文化底蕴深厚的城市，他度过了非常美好的童年。

 

　　From Asan, South Korea, Park Min-ji prepared a series of beautiful pictures to show the nature and the traditional culture of her hometown. "You can experience the beautiful sea and the green mountains in the same time." said Park Min-ji. " The hot summer, the lake surrounded by flowers and the shady streets..." Listening to her vivid description, audience could experience the charm of Asan.

 

　　来自韩国牙山市的Park Min-ji准备了一系列美丽的图片来展示家乡的自然风光和传统文化。“大家可以同时看到美丽的大海和苍翠的山。”炎热的夏天、鲜花环绕的湖水、绿树成荫的街道，通过她娓娓道来的讲述，牙山的魅力令人沉醉。

 

　　Through the words of these young representatives, people can not only learn about Dongguan's local customs, but also enjoy the exotic atmosphere as well as the humanity and arts of different cities. These young people showed the listeners the unique charm of their hometowns and expressed their thoughts under different circumstances through sincere words.

 

　　精彩纷呈的“云对话”，犹如一扇五彩斑斓的大门，各地青少年既可以领略莞城的碧瓦朱檐，又能感受牙山湖中的鱼鸟共乐，体会各地“家乡”历史沉淀与日新月异，激发出浓烈的家国情怀和使命担当。
